Júlia Perera Bel
Biographical note:
I am currently a PhD student in Prof. Dr. Beißbarth's group, in the Medical Statistics Department of the Universitätsmedizin Göttingen. I have a BsC in Biology and a MsC in Bioinformatics, both from the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain). During my MsC work in the Marine Sciences Institute (CSIC, Barcelona), I improved my genomic and metagenomic bioinformatics skills by studying the diversity and genomic composition of microbes of the deep ocean.
Research interests:
I am particularly interested in using highthroughput data to help understanding the biological processes behind diseases. But even more important is the usefulness of this data to improve personalized medicine. With this purpose, I use statistical bioinformatics analyses for the prediction of therapy outcome of cancer patients.
